Ingrid & Hein

Hein & Ingrid got married at Ulusaba Private Game Lodge close to Hazyview on Valentinesday! Valentines day is also Hein’s birthday! Well planned a three in one..Nice!!!
The couple, originally from the Netherlands, brought along all their special friend and family to join in their special day. Once again as all the summer weddings in the lowveld…. extremely hot!!

It was a early morning for me, got the kids ready for school drop them of and hit the road. One should think that a 150km drive would be quick quick… 3hours later myself and Adel arrived at the all renowned Ulusaba Private Game Lodge, Sir Richard Branson’s exclusive Lodge nestled in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve.

It was a hustle and bustle to get everyone ready. The spot where the ceremony took place was selected by the couple, a cozy spot in the bush next to a big rock. Perfect!!! The couple shoot took place next to a dam with a couple of hippos as spectators! They even came closer to get a better look!! Some of the photos were taken at the Lodge on a bridge, I just love those!!

Ingrid & Hein, I hope the memories of your amazing day will last forever!

Mark & Michelle

Another awesome wedding at Garonga Tented Safari Camp! The Camp is situated a few kilometers outside Tzaneen and is an ideal wedding destination for our overseas couples that is looking for the African experience. I really enjoy these small intimate weddings! Mark & Michelle is from the United States and decided to tie the knot here in South Africa. This was actually a type of pre wedding celebration, the big wedding will be in the States in May 2012. It was of course another scorching hot day in the lowveld and poor Mark really suffered to cope with the South African heat. In spite of the heat Mark & Michelle really indulged every moment and declared their love to one another. We had a lot of fun doing the shoot in a dry river bed close to the camp. Mark was a bit uncomfortable with the camera at first so I had to use every trick in the book to get him relaxed! But we succeeded and took beautiful pictures! Thank you Mark & Michelle for allowing me to be part of your special day! I pray that the two of you be blessed with happiness and tons of love!!

I did Little Ethan’s shoot at my studio just before christmas last year, what a bundle of joy! There were definitely no shortage of smiles that morning. Children has a mysterious energy that just lightens your day!

Werner & Wiesia

Werner & Wiesia…what a fabulous couple!! Werner is actually an old friend that we met in the Navy years ago. As life goes on you loose contact with people but luckily sometimes your paths cross again. So our paths crossed again with Werner and this time we were also privileged to meet his newly found Polish bride, Wiesia! They got married in Pretoria last year, small wedding, only close family. They decided to do a post wedding shoot at Nyala Lodge just outside Hoedspruit. We had so much fun!

We had good rains over December and the bush was lusciously fresh! You could feel the energy of nature rushing through your veins! Joe and the kids joined me with the shoot. For those who know Joe, he is a circus on his own! I really wish I could drag him along on every shoot! (Think he should quit flying).

The shoot was fantastic! What more do u need.. beautiful backdrop, stunning people and a fantastic sunset!

Twins Photo Shoot!

I while ago I recieved the e-mail I always feared… a family shoot with 12 week old twins!

Twins Photo Shoot!

I had an instant panic attack! One 12 week old is already a handful, and now there was going to be two!!! I got my ducks in a row and started planning. Now I had to get 2 of everything!!

I imported extra hands and then the day arrived. Mom and Dad arrived with Wilmie and Anneme and WOW was I surprised by Dad! I’ve never seen a dad so relaxed and hands on with the little ones.

The twins were GREAT!!! They were relaxed and the shoot went fantastic!

I am so excited this will be my first entry on my new blog! I really need to thank all the guys at Prestige Communications for a job well done! Thank you for all you patience, generosity and support.
